Laser Tattoo Removal Before & After Pictures

IPL treatment has proven to be the most effective procedure for removing tattoos.

The Medlite Q switched Yag IPL is particularly successful when removing blue black and red inks. The IPL light passes through the skin and is absorbed by the pigment in the ink. The short high intensity pulses break the ink into very small particles which can then be absorbed and removed from the skin. The procedure is fast and safe. The treatment itself feels like a rubber band flicking on the skin and most people do not require anaesthesia. Topical creams can be used with the treatment to ease any discomfort.

How many treatments are required?

On average professional tattoos require 5-6 treatments while amateur tattoos require 3-4 treatments about 6 weeks between each.

Will the tattoo be removed completely?

Most treatment courses result in a 95% fading of the tattoo. However the effectiveness is very much dependant on the type of ink and the depth of the ink in the skin.
