Fraxel® Before & After Pictures

The technology behind Fraxel Treatments is as revolutionary as the results it delivers. Fraxel IPL beams precisely affect thousands of microscopic areas of the skin, penetrating below the skin's surface and eliminating old, damaged and dead skin cells. Fraxel them stimulates the body's own healing process, rejuvenating the damaged skin with fresh, glowing skin - making you look years younger.

What areas can be treated with Fraxel?

Fraxel IPL skin rejuvenation can work on almost any area of the body, targeting old and damaged skin cells. Typically Skin Health Spa Clients use Fraxel for the face, neck, chest, arms, hands and legs, although it can also be used to reduce scarring or stretch marks. Fraxel is excellent for the removal of sun spots, age spots, brown spots, the healing of scars and acne scarring and reducing wrinkles.

How does Fraxel Work?

The area of skin being treated will be exposed to The Fraxel IPL beam, the IPL will destroy any damaged or old skin cells and will stimulate the body's naturally healing process to replace the old skin with new fresh skin cells, hiving you a more youthful appearance. Results are likely to include:

  • Smoother fresher looking skin
  • Improved skin tone and texture
  • Reduced wrinkles, especially round the eyes
  • Improved appearance of acne scars and surgical scars.

How many Fraxel treatments will I need?

Every case is different, the number of Fraxel treatments will depend on your personal situation, skin type and your objectives.

However, clinical studies have shown that the best results for Fraxel treatments can be achieved in only 3 to 5 sessions, which are usually held 2 to 6 weeks apart. Our trained and experienced Skin Health Spa staff will be able to advise on your personal situation.

Does Fraxel Treatment Hurt?

A Topical anaesthetic is applied before any treatment to the target areas and the Fraxel machine blows cold air on the treated area during the treatment to minimise discomfort. After the treatment you may feel a little "sunburnt", but this feeling disappears after a couple of hours.

Are there any side effects if I have a Fraxel Treatment?

There will be some visible redness and swelling in the treated areas, mild itching, dry skin or flakiness may also occur. It is best to avoid strong sunlight during the period of treatment and use a SPF30 sun cream if you expect to be out in the sun. We will advise on the best after care for the Fraxel treatments.

Where can I have Fraxel Treatment?

Currently, only our Clinic in Bishopsgate, City of London is able to offer Fraxel. However we hope to introduce it soon at our Manchester and Birmingham Clinics soon.
